Private Health Insurance for Travel to Germany

We hope your stay in Germany will be most enjoyable and exciting. However, there is always a risk that illness could strike while you are on your holiday. Should this happen, doctors' bills and hospital costs can soon mount up. If you do not have any health insurance, you will be liable to pay all of these costs yourself.

We therefore strongly advise you to take out a health insurance policy for the duration of your holiday, even if you are insured abroad under your statutory health insurance system. Your statutory insurer will be able to provide information on the cover they provide in Germany. Certain expenses will not, however, be covered. Prime amongst those are repatriation costs. Aditional holiday health insurance is thus recommended to fill such gaps.
